The History of Logo Design

Text only version:

Simplicity is Crucial

Whether it's a symbol, text or a combination of the two, don't make it too complex! Simple logos scale well, can be used on a variety of mediums and often aren't too reminiscent of one particular era.

Timeless Designs Last

Those glossy, 3D looking logos with way too much shadow and embossed text introduced in the early 2000s? They didn't last long... Why? They were extremely different from traditional logos. Often flat designs with only a few effects last a long time.

As Unique as Your Identity

A logo is ultimately a company's identity. A company's logo should be unique and stand out from the competition, allowing consumers to easily identify the brand. Uniqueness can be established by incorporating the company's mission, values and “personality” into the design.
